During a panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2014, a fan asked Stephen Amell, “if it’s not too much,” if he’d recite the intro monologue from “Arrow”. He also commented his approval of Roy Harper and Thea “Speedy” Queen as a couple.

Amell’s Comic-Con read: “My name is Oliver Queen *thunderous applause* for five years I was stranded on an island with only one goal … survive. Now I will return to Starling City to fulfill my father’s dying wish and use the list of names he left me to bring down those who are poisoning my city. But to do this I can’t be the … (looks off-screen for help with the line) killer I once was. To honor my friend’s memory I must be someone else. I must be something else. Previously on ‘Arrow’.”
