The most anticipated event for superhero movie buffs, comic book lovers and video game addicts is finally on its way to Philadelphia.
Comic Con 2017 begins Thursday, June 1 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center and will be here for fans to enjoy until Sunday, June 4.
While Comic Con is in Philadelphia, Wizard World — the producers of Comic Con — will be presenting its first-ever “Wizard World’s Hall of Legends” award to Rob Liefeld.
As the creator of major big and small screen worldwide franchises such as “Deadpool,” “X-Force,” “Cable” and “Youngblood,” it is no surprise that Liefeld will have his success recognized as the first recipient of this award.
“I’m honored to be inducted into the Wizard World Hall of Legends and have my 30 years of contributions to the industry recognized,” said Liefeld.
He continued, “I have tremendous love and affection for this art form, its community and the business of creating and selling comic books and graphic novels. It was a passion of mine long before it was my vocation.”
The inaugural presentation of this award will happen Friday, June 1. Attendees will have to look at the schedule to know the exact time.
There will definitely not be a lack of celebrity guests in attendance, as the list of stars for the event is almost never-ending.
Jesse Eisenberg, Chuck Norris, Paul Bettany, Theo Rossi and Cole Sprouse are just a few of the notable faces that Comic Con goers will have the chance to see over the weekend.
The CW Philly wishes Wizard World and all attendees a super successful, eventful and safe 2017 Comic Con.
