There is no doubt that we lost actress Brittany Murphy too soon. Will Lifetime shed some light on her tragic passing?

The network just announced it will debut “The Brittany Murphy Story” on September 6th, 2014. The film, which will be based on Murphy’s 32-year life, will star Amanda Fuller as Brittany Murphy and Sherilyn Fenn as Murphy’s mother.

The made-for-TV movie will explore Murphy’s career as a child star through her untimely death. While Murphy’s cause of death was officially listed as pneumonia and other causes, her husband, Simon Monjack, died five months later, apparently due to the same things. Some have called these deaths “suspicious.”

Brittany Murphy was well-known in her roles in films such as “Clueless,” “8 Mile,” “Girl, Interrupted,” “Riding In Cars With Boys,” and “Uptown Girls.”
