PHILADELPHIA (CW PHILLY) — Cheetos has decided to make a bold move into the restaurant business with a menu focused on Cheetos-themed items.

From Cheetos tacos, Cheetos-Crusted Chicken, to Fried pickles crusted with Cheetos, and even a cheesecake crusted with Cheetos, if you are a fan of the snack food, then this is a restaurant you might want to check out.

You could have the chance to try these unique items for a limited time only at a new pop-up restaurant from Cheetos, named The Spotted Cheetah, which will be open for three days this month in New York.

“We were inspired by Cheetos fans and popular restaurants nationwide,” Ryan Matiyow, senior director of marketing at Frito-Lay, told AdWeek and noted that he’s gotten recipes for everything from Cheetos bagels to Cheetos-inspired sushi.

These dishes will be prepared by celebrity chef Anne Burrell, who told AdWeek that the menu is “one of a kind.”

The restaurant will be located at 211 West Broadway. It will only be open from Tuesday, Aug. 15 through Thursday, Aug. 17.

The team behind this idea has gotten to sample the entire menu and, according to Matiyow, “across the team the favorite is the mac and cheese.”

The Flamin’ Hot and White Cheddar Mac n’ Cheetos has a “phenomenal flavor and texture” and “the pop of Cheetos adds an extra flavor,” Matiyow told AdWeek.

Fans can already reserve their spots via Open Table and look forward to tasting something off of this very unique assortment.
