PHILADLEPHIA (CW PHILLY) — Could Will Smith be playing former President Barack Obama in a future movie? The actor hinted at it on James Corden’s “Carpool Karaoke.”

During the first episode that premiered Aug. 8, Smith and Corden sang some of Smith’s classic songs such as “Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It” and “Boom! Shake the Room.”

During the show, Smith dropped a nice piece of info about a conversation he had with Obama about playing him in a movie about his life. What’s more important is that Obama apparently gave Smith the OK to play him.

“I talked to Barack about it,” Smith told Corden. “He told me that he felt confident that I had the ears for the role.”

Smith is an exceptional actor when it comes to biopics, most notably playing Muhammad Ali. Smith playing Obama could make for an interesting movie, especially with his set of skills.
