Philadelphia (CW Philly) — Misty Knight, played by Simone Missick, the no-nonsense New York detective from Marvel and Netflix’s popular “Luke Cage,” is sporting a new look for the second season.

She’s matching her comic-book counterpart and is now equipped with a prosthetic bionic arm to replace the one she lost to the villain Bakuto, played by Ramón Rodríguez, in Marvel’s “The Defenders.”

In typical Marvel fashion, the details of how and when Misty gets her bionic arm are being kept a secret. If it follows anywhere near the comics, Misty’s bionic arm comes courtesy of Tony Stark. From what we’ve been able to dig up from the comics, the arm gives her superhuman strength and other abilities such as energy blasts.

The Netflix Marvel shows don’t follow the comics as closely as we’d hope, so it’ll be a mystery if Misty’s arm offers her the same qualities, but we’ll have to see for ourselves when Marvel’s “Luke Cage” returns to Netflix in 2018.
