In this CW “zom-com,” Liv Moore (Rose McIver) is an over-achieving medical resident who has her life path completely mapped out… until the night she attends a party that turns into a zombie feeding frenzy. Now as one of the newly undead, Liv is doing her best to blend in and look as human as possible. Her appearance passes for “Goth,” with shockingly pale skin and nearly white hair, and her demeanor has gone from exuberant to exhausted, baffling family, friends and her former fiancé, Major (Robert Buckley.) To resist the urge to devour fresh human brains, Liz cleverly takes a “dead-end” job in the Seattle coroner’s office where she can secretly snack on the brains of the many Jane and John Doe corpses in the morgue. Despite carefully covering her tracks, Liv’s brilliant but eccentric boss, Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti (Rahul Kohli), discovers her secret and is surprisingly excited about the scientific possibilities.

The cast and producers of the show did a Red Carpet; then the pilot episode was shown to a much appreciative audience, followed by a question and answer session. iZombie is about a doctor, Liv, played by Rose McIver, who has the perfect life.
