Philadelphia (CW Philly) — For all of you fans of the long-running franchise, the wait is over as Daniel Craig will play James Bond again for another movie.

Rumors have been swirling for quite some time that Craig would resume his role as the legendary British Secret Service agent in the next Bond film. This goes against what we last heard from Craig, as he said in 2015 that he’d rather “slash his wrists” than do one more Bond film.

The British actor ended months of speculation about whether he’d ever play Bond again on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” on Tuesday.

“I have been doing interviews all day and people have been asking me and I think I’ve been rather coy,” the 49-year-old actor admitted to Colbert. “But kind of felt like if I was going to speak the truth I should speak truth to you.”

He added, “I think this is it. I just want to go out on a high note and I can’t wait.”

This will likely be the last time he plays the world’s most dashing secret agent.
