Kharisma McIlwaine has been a member of The CW Crew since 2007.Kharisma, a Philadelphia native, is a graduate of Cabrini College. Although she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications, Kharisma’s passion for the arts played a major role in her college career. She had leading roles in five musicals, was a member of The Cabrini Dance Team and participated in Chorus. Kharisma also hosted a radio show for the college radio station 89.1 The Burn.
Before joining The Crew, Kharisma worked at the Five Spot as a host during their signature Open Mike Night. She is currently working on her acting career as well as being a singer/songwriter. Her most recent project is “Captivated,” a song she co-wrote which is available on iTunes.
In 2009 the Philadelphia Daily News profiled her as one of the area’s “Sexy Singles.” Active in the community, Kharisma volunteers her time with organizations that benefit childhood health and empower women such as Signature RED, Project A.L.O.E., The Cancer Research Institute and The Epilepsy Foundation.
She currently resides in West Philadelphia.
